How to dispose of a sluggish Web association?

There can be several situations, you know. First, you may be using a comparatively slower internet connection. Second, although you pay a lot, your browsing/downloading speed is very low. In both cases, we have some solutions to offer you.

Check and change your browser

Not all web browsers are created equal. So you can consider using another web browser to improve your internet access speed. For example, if you've been using Chrome on your linux laptop this whole time, you might consider using Firefox. The choices also depend on the device you're using. If you use a Mac, it would be a good decision to switch to Safari, which offers better native support. Likewise, find out which browser is suitable for your device and start using it. You will be able to see a good increase in speed.

Use a better router

Just because you have a 1 Gbps connection doesn't mean you're going to get the maximum speed. If the router does not have the capacity to handle this high bandwidth, your speed will be lower. So you need to ask yourself if your current wireless router is up to the required specs. If not, you need to change or reset it. You should also check if something else is interfering with the wireless connection.

Check your speed

You can't always trust the ISP. There is a chance that you will be deceived by ISPs or their terms. In some cases, ISPs promise to provide "up to a certain speed", which means that the speed is not stable. To avoid this, you should test the speed from time to time. Be sure to use a reliable testing service. If the speed is still below the promised figures, you should consider changing plans.

Check installed programs

The programs you have installed on the bare metal laptop can impact the speed. They can use internet resources without your knowledge. Instead, you should focus on programs that aren't doing you any good. It could be some kind of pre-installed bloatware. If you don't want to uninstall these tools or programs, you can at least prevent them from running automatically.

Clear browsing data

Browser cache, cookies, and other temporary files can slow down your internet connection – gradually. You may not know that these files accumulate. You should therefore find the time to regularly delete these files. You can remove them individually or using tools. Either way, make sure your computer is free of temporary data to get the best speed. This problem is more common in the case of Chrome because it creates a lot of temporary data.
